Docs Preparation

How to prepare your docs for uploading?
Following are the steps you must take. Please read carefully. Remember that when you prepare the documents for uploading, place them in a folder that you name in such a way, that you can remember where it is. Place the file or files to upload in this folder and name them according to the content or your definition.

1. The simplest and most convenient way is to send the document in Word format - Microsoft Word or Open Office.

2. To avoid format or orientation shift of the text, it is better to convert any document to PDF.

3. If the document must be scanned, make sure the quality is good, legible and complete, and the doc is readable..

4. It is advisable to convert the scanned doc to PDF format, because it helps to reduce the size (in KB or MB) of a doc that is sent, or uploaded as an image in .gif or .jpg format.

5. If converting to PDF is not possible, send it as is, in either .gif or .jpg format.

6. Each page must be scanned separately and also sent or uploaded separately. Make sure to number the pages of the document, to avoid a mix up in their order after translation.

7. If the entire document is made up of one file just send it as is, preferably after converting to PDF.

8. If you upload by means of this website directly, follow the instructions for uploading, as posted to the Docs Upload page, when your files are already prepared. Make sure you remember in which folder you stored the files before the uploading.

9. If you send the files by email (also available from this site), just attach the files like any other attachment you may have sent in the past. Make sure you remember in which folder you stored the files you prepared for uploading. In an email also include your contact details like phone number etc. and also the correct spelling of your name and last name as it shows on your passport. If your language is not using Latin fonts, this is very important, because  name spelling in English or Latin fonts, may vary and the translator can´t take responsibility for incorrect names spelling. Be aware that a name that is spelled incorrectly in the translated document, may cause the rejection of the translation by the USA immigration authorities and this will cause a substantial delay in the entire process.
